Storyline
Soon after being named the new leader of his high school’s gang system, Kujo grows bored with the violence and hatred that surround him. He wants desperately to abandon his post… but his once-enviable position of power has a strange way of making him feel powerless.
Joep:
Blue Spring (which refers to the springtime of life) is my favorite film of all time. It is not a film with a clear or traditional storyline. Instead, it follows a group of teenage boys at an all-boys school in Japan, all coming from a lower social class. They are growing up in a society that places a huge emphasis on achievement and success, yet they feel like they have very little to look forward to. As they approach the end of their final year, they each begin to lose their way in their own way. For them, this final year represents their last taste of real freedom before they are forced to enter the adult world.
